Letter of recognition which I am proud to have received

June 7, 2006

Mr. Bill Plunkett
New York Real Estate Institute
Marriott Fairfield Inn
Syossett, New York 11791

Dear Bill,

It was great having you as an instructor.

I have been involved in real estate for almost 20 years, and throughout this time I never met an
individual as dedicated to the profession as you.

Every session with you was thorough, lively, and enlightening; you provided an in depth
discussion of real estate from A to Z. You have a true dedication and commitment to the
profession for which I am grateful. In fact, your commitment and passion to fair housing was
second to none.

Every student that completes your course is familiar with the local, state, and federal fair housing
laws. Every student that completes your course realizes the importance of equal opportunity and
access to the American dream. Every student that completes your course knows that when it
comes to fair housing, they must take it serious. It was comforting to know that there are true,
dedicated, knowledgeable and committed professionals like you that are carrying the torch for
fairness and equal opportunity to the masses.

Thank you for your commitment and dedication to fair housing. It is a noble cause that I am

proud to have championed and I know a fair housing expert when I see one; I am the former
commissioner of the New York State Division of Human Rights, former commissioner of a
public housing authority, former president of Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation of the State
of New York, former senior vice president of Battery Park City Authority, former vice president
of the New York State Housing Finance Agency, former senior official for the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development.

The world is a better place because of professionals like you; you are truly the best, and please
keep up the great work!
